Caymus Suisun Grand Durif 2017 is a powerfully expressive, richly structured red wine crafted by the legendary Wagner family of Caymus Vineyards, sourced from the fertile Suisun Valley — a neighboring appellation to Napa Valley in California. Durif, also known as Petite Sirah, thrives in Suisun Valley's warm days and cool nights, producing dark, inky wines of exceptional concentration and personality.

Deep, near-opaque purple-black in color, the 2017 opens with intensely concentrated aromas of dark blackberry, blueberry, plum, black olive, dark chocolate, and violet. On the palate, it is full-bodied and powerful, with dense, grippy tannins typical of Durif, explosive dark fruit flavors, notes of mocha and espresso, and a long, muscular finish that promises significant cellaring potential.
