Dow's 10 Year Tawny Port
Dow's 10 Year Tawny Port is a distinguished aged tawny from Dow's — one of the oldest and most respected Port houses in the Douro Valley, founded in 1798 and owned by the Symington family. The 10 Year designation indicates an average age of 10 years of maturation in small oak casks (pipes), during which the wine slowly oxidizes to develop the hallmark tawny color and remarkable complexity. Dow's 10 Year Tawny presents a beautiful amber-tawny hue with an enticing bouquet of roasted hazelnuts, dried apricot, orange zest, toffee, and warm cinnamon spice. On the palate, it is silky and medium-sweet with exceptional balance, layers of dried fruit and nut complexity, and a long, elegant, caramelized finish. Serve lightly chilled as a dessert wine or with charcuterie and cheese boards.
