Each year a small number of casks is identified by the whisky mastery team to be offered as part of this special selection of non-chill filtered, cask strength whiskies ranging from 12 to more than 20 years old. The Macallan 2018 Exceptional Single Cask No. 23 was hand-selected by Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess from cask 3917, a European oak Sherry hogshead.
Originally filled on April 6, 1993, this remarkable whisky was bottled more than 25 years later, on September 24, 2018 straight from the cask at 51.4% ABV. Delectable aromas of summery berry tart, raspberry, blackcurrant and almonds, open to flavors of toffee, cinnamon and vanilla, culminating in a long-lasting finish of berries and oak.
Limited to just 237 bottles, this is the perfect addition to a prestigious collection.
