Warre's Late Bottled Vintage Port 2008
Warre's Late Bottled Vintage Port 2008 is an exceptional fortified wine from Warre's — the oldest British Port house in the Douro Valley, established in 1670 and now part of the Symington family's distinguished portfolio. A Late Bottled Vintage Port from the outstanding 2008 harvest, this wine was aged in oak casks for four years before bottling — allowing for greater development and complexity than standard Ruby Port, while remaining more accessible and ready to drink sooner than a declared Vintage Port. The 2008 LBV from Warre's presents a brilliant ruby-garnet color with a classic port bouquet of ripe plum, blackcurrant, dark cherry, dark chocolate, and dried herbs. On the palate, it is richly concentrated, elegantly structured, and beautifully balanced with a long, complex, warming finish.
