Averna is a classic, Italian Amaro born in Caltanissetta, Sicily. Averna has a decidedly Mediterranean profile, with a mild bitterness, which makes it very approachable and versatile. Averna features a delicate dark chocolate, citrus and herbal notes followed by a lightly bitter twist. Averna's recipe has gone unchanged since 1868 and the infusion of botanicals still takes place in Caltanissetta, Sicily.
