Charles Woodson's Intercept 2018 Red Blend

The Intercept Red Blend has aromas of berry cobbler, savory herbs, and caramelized sugar.The wine is full-bodied with fine grained tannins on the mid-palate and a long spicy finish.

PAIRING: Pair with smoked meats, burgers, or Spanish style tapas.

VARIETAL TYPE:  Red Blend (45% Petite Sirah, 22% Syrah, 19% Zinfandel, 10% Petit Verdot, 4% Mourvèdre).

APPELLATIONS: Paso Robles, California.

WINEMAKING: When making our Intercept Red Blend we targeted some of our favorite vineyards in Paso Robles. Petite Sirah and Zinfandel are at the heart of this blend highlighting two varieties that do well in Paso Robles. Vintage to vintage we will incorporate other varietals and districts highlighting the dark and most concentrated wines of the vintage. Aged in French and Eastern European oak for 18 months.
